No two days look exactly the same. You could be supporting different nurseries, stepping in during busy periods, and working with a variety of teams, environments, and age groups, while building confidence and experience across N.
Depending on your availability, you can work anything from a few hours a day to full-time hours, in a way that fits around your life, studies, or other commitments.
Whether you’re a qualified or unqualified Early Years Practitioner or Chef, you’ll play an important role in creating safe, nurturing environments where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

This role is designed to support our nursery teams and support you. Experience working with children is a bonus, but your attitude and willingness to learn matter most. You’ll be surrounded by experienced Educators, with opportunities to grow your skills and develop your career in early years.
As a Flexi Chef at N, you’ll support our nursery kitchens when cover is needed. We celebrate the rich diversity of the UK through our food, and we’re looking for someone who sees meals as both nourishing and joyful, supporting children’s development through healthy eating. Experience in a commercial or nursery kitchen is helpful, but what matters most is your passion for food, attention to dietary needs, and ability to connect with children, teams, and families.
